ABOUT SALLY

Sally_Guest.jpgHi!  My name is Sally Guest and I am Director of Savour It Limited, the Event & LIfestyle Club that brings Lifestyle Balance to busy lives.

I was born in Wellington to Kiwi parents but was shipped off to Hong Kong at a tender age of 7 weeks old, where I lived until I was 16.  That explains the slight accent!

It was during that time that I developed a huge love for food.  Hong Kong's melting pot of Eastern and Western cuisine inspired me to be open minded and try new foods; fish eyes, frogs legs and sheeps brain included.

Since moving back to New Zealand, my love of food has only intensified, and with the discovery of wine, I have been moved to great culinary heights when a fantastic dish meets its match with an artfully selected wine.

For many years, my thing for wine, food & events was only a hobby.  By day I practiced commercial law and by night, I was chief organiser of my friends' social calendars.

I didn't get serious about event planning until I moved to Tauranga in 2008 and joined the committee of the Rocket! young professionals group which is part of the Chamber of Commerce.  I was the driving force behind the Rocket! Young Professionals Ball & Awards which remains a highlight on the Tauranga young professionals calendar; and by my third year, I was Chairman of Rocket!

During that time, I put my law career on hold to assist in the development of my husband's business Core Chiropractic in Mount Maunganui.  I have a huge passion for health and chiropractic and am proud that my husband helps so many people in our community achieve their health goals.

However, after one too many comments from friends and family that I should be planning events for a living, I decided to take the plunge and form Savour It.  I knew though, that I needed a point of difference, which led me to form Savour It as a Lifestyle Club

I have a huge passion for life and strive daily to attain balance and fulfilment, using an holistic approach.

As a Registered Celebrant and a qualified wine Sommelier, I hope to bring diverse skills to the Club to ensure interesting, fun and social events for all Members.

Outside of business, I love tackling the stairs on the Mount, doing Yoga, hanging out with my gorgeous nephews and of course... eating good clean food and drinking great wine (in moderation)!

I would welcome the opportunity to share my story, if you are looking for an interesting, lively and fun keynote speaker at your next event.

Cheers, Sally
